And the New Year is here….again..

Here we are again at that time of the year where people are all excited for the new year and they start making new year resolutions, and have great hopes for 2010.

I usually don’t make new year’s resolution cause most of the time, it is forgotten by the second week of January.

However, this year, I decided to make a list of resolutions and (hopefully) stick to them.

Oh, and please don’t laugh when you see what’s no.1 on the list..

New Year’s Resolution

1. Shop less. Yes, you saw right. Shop LESS. :( I’m currently planning on shopping like once every 2 months or so :)

2. Be more thankful for what I have.

3. Start buying more flats and less high heels.

4. Be more responsible.

5. Start saving $$.

6. Add more colours to my wardrobe.

7. Focus more on the big things in life and not the tiny things.

8. Adopt a healthy lifestyle.

And there you go! My new year’s resolution for 2010! :)

I’m hoping to achieve half of what is on the list, so good luck to me!

Happy New Year guys!

:)

A post all women/girls should read

Someone just got home from the hospital because someone went to get vaccinated against cervical cancer.

The gynae was a fun lady. She gave me a lecture before giving me the jab.

The contents of that lecture included the following:

1. She told me to ask/inform all my girlfriends to get vaccinated against cervical cancer.

2. She reminded me that after a certain age, women have to go for their annual pap smear and that it is IMPORTANT. Some of her patients whom have already been given this advise usually show up 5/6 years later after the cancer has progressed.

3. Cervical cancer is the ONLY cancer which can be prevented. But getting the vaccine doesn’t mean that you’ll never get it. Regular check up is still important.

4. Monthly self breast examination is IMPORTANT.

5. She said MOST women who come to her claim they examine their breasts every month, but when she asks to demonstrate, most of them do it wrongly. She said the technique is IMPORTANT.Click here to learn how.

6. Early detection saves you a lot of trouble.

7.  She told me to study hard and wished me luck for sem 6. :p

For more on the cervical cancer vaccine, click here.

Confusion

Have you ever did something or want something or pursue something only to realize, halfway through that you’re not interested in it anymore?

It is not whether you can do it or not, the question is if you ENJOY doing it. It is like knowing how to drive a car, being able to drive a car but not interested in driving the car.

It is about passion.

What if one day, you woke up and realized that you are no longer passionate about the thing you do. Is it a phase? Or is it a realisation?

What if it is not a phase and you get stuck there?

What would you do if you lost the passion you had for your career?

What then?

Robert Pattinson is NOT HOT!

OK, since the twilight craze is annoying me, I decided to blog about this dude.

FIRSTLY, I knew Edward was this vampire, which everyone said was cute/hot/…and whatever else AND I kinda believed it..and this was BEFORE I watched twilight.

THEN, I watched twilight..mind you, when I decided to watch twilight, it was because I wanted to understand why people are going crazy over it.

It was one of the MOST boring movies EVER!

And Mr.Edward-I’m-so-pale-you-think-I’m-anemic-Cullen, is NOT hot. I mean come on!! to me he looks gay. How is a gay looking anemic vampire hot again???

I’m sorry but I don’t find him hot.

The weekend away

Last weekend was spent at Taiping and Ipoh. I never knew catching up with my cousins could be so much fun!

I left here on Friday and my first destination was good ol’ Taiping!

I reached there around 11 something in the morning and we paid a visit to my aunt. After which we headed to Yut Sun…or something, I’m not sure about the spelling.:p

DSC00843 ~This was my lunch~

DSC00844 ~ And this was my dessert: Choco Tart~

The food there was OK. But the main reason I enjoyed it was knowing that I was having lunch with my family at the same place my grandfather used to come for lunch/ dinner/whatever..i just know that he always eats there. Maybe I’m extra nostalgic or something, but Taiping is a place full of history and memories for me, and it felt so good to be there again, even if the food in KL was better, I totally enjoyed my lunch there! :)

Then, I went to visit the great Ipoh Bakery in Taiping. I simply love the pastries there!!

DSC00873This is the egg tart & cupcake

DSC00874

And this is the delicious chicken pie which is a MUST try! They always finish early.. Did I mention that they are freshly baked?

After lunch I headed of the the beautiful Taiping Lake Gardens…

After sight-seeing around Taiping, we headed back to Ipoh for my cousin’s wedding reception. I’ll do a separate post on that event.:)

I just felt so happy to be back in Taiping, don’t ask me why. Maybe because my memorable childhood memories took place there, I don’t know. All I know is that I love the history and the food there.

Till next time,

:)

The busy Bee!

I have been so busy lately I don’t even have time to go onto FB anymore!!

OK…lets start in chronological order once again.

Since the holidays have started, I’ve been really busy doing stuff like going out, catching up with old friends, bonding with relatives, holiday-ing and reading and catching up on ALL the tv shows which I missed!

Lets start with the reading part. I finished reading these two..

DSC00778 ….and I have started with this one….

DSC00779And before anyone asks, I am sorry to inform you that I won’t be lending these precious books to anyone.. I’m sorry but every time I do that they end up ruined so I don’t lend nor borrow books from anyone. :)

And I have been hooked on to The Vampire Diaries..I mean, I watched 10 episodes of it BACK-TO-BACK!! and it gave me nightmares and headaches later..:p

The holiday-ing part..well I was down at JB for my cousins wedding and for the very first time, I experienced a cultural Indian wedding up,close and personal! ( yes, I know this sounds strange)

I didn’t manage to get pictures of me on my camera but my cousin did! And they are still in my cousin’s camera..and I shall share them with you once I get them..:)

I only managed to snap pics of my brother(Kanesh) who was the Indian version of the best man.:)

DSC00827My bro is the one on the right..:p

DSC00828

DSC00831

This is my lil’ cousin Adam!:)

The wedding was amazing!!! I mean, the decoration and all were beautiful. I mean, they even had mini disco balls hanging around near the place where the bride & groom sat! How cool is that?!!?

I also found some pics from their engagement back in August..

I shall upload more once I get them OK??

I have also been shopping like crazy these past few weeks..mostly to get the outfits and make up done for the wedding and the reception which is this Saturday by the way!I seriously can’t believe the amount of money that I have spent in these past few weeks..it makes you wanna SAVE YOUR MONEY..

I also got my results today..before I left to get them I checked my IMU email and got this..

Dear student,

Your End of Semester 5 exam - passed.

From,

Academic Affairs Department

And my results were..well “so-so” la.. I think I could have done better..but nevermind..what is done is done. HELLO SEM 6!!!:)

Now, I’m packing. I’ll be leaving to Taiping tomorrow. I’m preparing my stomach for a gastronomical adventure there and I’ll also be meeting up with my cousins and all. And then on Saturday evening, I’ll be attending my cousin’s wedding reception @ Ipoh, another gastronomical adventure. And then I’ll leave Ipoh for KL on Sunday..:)

I’m also planning on watching Princess and the Frog this Friday. I heard it has a twist.

I should be getting ready for dinner now.. I don’t know where we are going..

You

You – by Tracie Gan

Evening sun peaking through the curtain

Day spent wasting away thinking about you

Your smiling face on my wall

Seems so long since I last saw that smile

Or was it just yesterday

When you pass me by

Did someone put your heart in the refrigerator

Cause it feels so cold

How could that happen

When it was just yesterday I heard our laughter and chatter

And look at us now

What’s left of us

Are just memories

And the stranger that we’ve become

What happened to the dream that we build

The destiny that we talked about

Oh the phone is ringing

Heart skipped a beat

Oh it wasn’t you

Going for a run now

Who knows i might bump into

My destiny.

This was written by one of my close friends Tracie Gan who is currently studying in Medan.

OMG! It is Friday the 13th!

Today is Friday the 13th. The day associated with bad luck and a whole load of crap! I don’t get the whole bad luck thing. I just simply don’t.

I have a lot to say today and I shall start in chronological order.( Warning: 2012 spoiler ahead)

First on the list, the new layout and blog name. I know, this is the umpteenth time I’ve changed my blog name and layout. But the only reason I changed the layout was because I was bored with old one and decided to give it a new look. And my GOD! Finding a new template is definitely a bloody headache! I went through so many different templates and I simply couldn’t decide which one to use. First I decided to choose based on my emotional status, then I thought that it would be too disturbing to some of my readers so I decided to just choose templates based on what looked nice and evidently, my obsession with mystical creatures took over and hence, you see the blue fairy. But the main reason why I chose this template was for the glittery background. :p

Why I changed the blog name? Well if you noticed I’ve changed my blogger name to my own name and therefore the old blog name would not have been appropriate anymore.:)

Done with that, next on the list is nightmares!

Ever since the end of EOS I’ve been having very weird and emotionally disturbing nightmares about the exams. The first nightmare came a couple of days ago where I dreamt that we had another exam on the following Monday after last week, which I was told that very morning and it was CNS part 2 and I didn’t study for it and I didn’t manage to answer the question and then kena marah from Prof.Yeoh for not studying. :(

The second one was last night. Last night one was in a similar setting as the previous one, it is the Monday after the exams, I was told on Sunday that we are having Comm. Pharm exam on Monday and I was studying all those benchmarking guidelines and all, and then I go there and find out the exam is about Molar Concentrations ( Which isn’t even a bloody subject for God’s sake!) AND I didn’t bring my calculator and I was freaking out in my dream and THANK GOD i woke up after that because that is one dream I don’t want to see how it ends.

And YES, I have very weird dreams.

Enough of dreams. I went to klcc today to chill and to watch 2012. I dragged my mom along due to the lack of available friends to go out. Most of them still having their exams.

View Image

2012 is the most cliché movie EVER. I mean, I literally started laughing halfway through! The story was so ridiculous that it made me laugh! I mean, the roads are splitting into 2 and miraculously the car with the lead characters survive the whole damn thing! I mean COME ON, you fly a plane through a rain of fire and somehow manage to escape without even taking ONE HIT?!!! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ridiculous!!! And it has those cliché happy ending. You know, the one where all the main characters survive, by hook or by crook and they all have a new beginning..bla,bla,bla! They started the show with the main character’s family all separated and unhappy..and in the end, the parents unite..bla,bla,bla.. And the weird part, the mom’s bf just died and yet she’s all happy and over him and together with her ex-husband and all. I mean, SERIOUSLY?!!

Well, that’s a movie I wasted 9 bucks on.

Till next time,

:)

Isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think?

So exams and classes are over and I’m enjoying the hols.

But I just realised that I’m no longer addicted to FB and Twitter as I was during classes and exams. This just screams irony doesn’t it?

When I needed to focus on studies and NOT waste my time on FB and twitter, I couldn’t cause I was just too addicted. And now, when I’m free and have all the time in the world to do it, I’m no longer interested in it. And I’m serious!! I'm kinda losing interest in all those FB games which I was addicted to… *sigh*

So I guess the best song to describe right now is the one from Ms.Alanis Morissette.

Guess Who’s Back

I’m BACK!!! :D

After 2 months of absence I have returned to the world of blogging.

You have NO idea how glad I am. Last week was like a hit and run. It was as if something hit you and you don’t even know what it was. Well, of course I knew what it was. But it was just so fast. It was like..

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!

And the next thing you know it’s over! EXAMS ARE OVER!!!! :D

For the past 4-5 weeks I was only staring at one thing and it was this:

Image000

Anyway! With exams over and done, I’ve started to plan for my long holidays! :D

The plan so far..

Today: Going to The Curve to chill

Tomorrow: Going to Ipoh

Next weekend : Might be heading off to Bukit Tinggi. I just realised that I haven’t been there.

The following weekend: A wedding to attend in Johor- high chances of going to S’pore

The Raya haji weekend : Back to ipoh for a wedding reception and I’ll probably be some where celebrating Kanesh’s birthday.

I haven’t planned for December yet. And the weekdays will be filled with reading and TV and playing PS and FB-ing and cooking..:)

I also need to workout because after 3 weeks of sitting and reading, I feel so sick! I need to work out. PLUS, I ate too much during Deepavali and gained some weight.:(

I need to go and stock up on my books. Am currently searching for Dan Brown’s and Sophie Kinsella’s latest books. And then I might re-read the entire Harry Potter series cause I just realised that I forgot what happened.:p In my defence it was a long time ago OK! I also have episodes of Grey’s, Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, The Hills and Supernatural to catch up on. I also watched the first episode of Vampire Diaries to see what it is all about.. I dunno.. I’ll decide if I’m going to continue watching it after I see what happens in the second episode.

And I also got a new phone!! Not exactly new, but it’s less than a year old and I took if from Navin coz he got a new phone.:D

New phone is kinda canggih..better than my current one and the only reason why I wanted it so badly was because it is a SE phone. I’m currently using Nokia and I DON’T LIKE NOKIA!!!!!!!!

So YAY!!! got new phone!!! :D

Till next time!

Another bimbo post!

Yes, here I am blogging about another episode of retail therapy. I know you guys must be bored to death reading about how I mindlessly spend my money but I guess it is something only a girl can understand. Since I forgot to take pics of what I bought, I shall just list them out! :)

1. Orange & Gold glittery Nail Polish from Elianto

2. Golden heels from Nose to match what I’ll be wearing  next Friday

3.Glamorous Red wallet! :D

4. A gift for someone

Yea, and thats about it! :D

I was shopping with Mom and when I do that, I usually carry all the stuff for her and dunno why she bought so much of stuff, and I ended up looking like a coat hanger cause I had plastic bags hanging from both hands of mine.

I think I should start on my workshop for next week because there is feeling in me which says I wont be studying much next week. See ya! :)

Humans vs. Animals

This issue has been in my head for sometime, brewing in there. I just didn’t have the time to post it. As you can obviously see, my blog has been kinda dead recently, and that is only because I have been busy with Uni stuff.

Humans and animals, it is a common misconception that most people have, about how humans are better than animals. Yes, we humans have brains, and yes, we are the people behind all the inventions.

BUT…………………………….

These videos I came across made me wonder, Animals can help each other at times, regardless of their species, and yet humans can’t help other humans. It just says something doesn’t it? But, I think there is hope for us...

For those of you who have yet to see this video, see it now!

And I also came across this video, and ever since I have been helplessly trying to make pumpkin talk…but all she does is stare at me with confusion..:(

Reasons why Moms are always the best!

I have compiled the many reasons why mothers are the best people in the whole world. Dads are too, but it is just that Moms have something extra compared to Dads. :)

1. Moms will always be there for you, even after you do stupid things and go against her wishes.

2. No matter how ugly you look, they still insist that you look nice.

3.They buy for you everything you ask for with little or no objection.

4. They love you unconditionally.

5. They entertain all you stupid and unreasonable requests.

6. They wake up at unearthly hours to feed you when you are sick.

7. They always know how to cheer you up.

8. They help you and expect absolutely nothing in return.

9. They will always forgive you no matter how badly you screwed up.

10. When you’re sick, they drop everything just to take care of you, even if it means not going to work for a day.

11.They are irreplaceable.

12.They really do know what is best for you, no matter how much you say otherwise.

13.They are the very few people in your life which you can tell everything and they won’t judge you.

14.Sometimes, when you hit rock bottom, they are the only ones standing next to you, holding your hand and helping you crawl out of it.

15.They are good listeners!

16. Nobody can be a better cook than ur mom! =)

17. They are the first person you run to when you can’t solve a serious problem.

18.They painstakingly carried you in their bellies for 9 months, gained a whole lot of weight because of you, got stretch marks because of you, endured blinding pain to get you out of their bellies and still, they give you everything.

19. They are such marvellous people, that I don’t think making a list of reasons on why they are great can justify why they are simply the best people on earth!

To those who are wondering how I’m doing, I’m actually doing great! =) No more cold, no more fever( for more than 24hrs), and i actually took kinda long to recover because I had gastric. Why I had gastric? Because I didn’t eat well on Sunday..:(.. I have learnt a new lesson, ‘Eat well when you are sick, even if you can’t taste the food and don’t have an appetite’.

I kinda want to go for the Vet lectures but……. Papa is working, and I have no one to send me to Uni, PLUS, it is raining heavily outside..:(

I shall just stay at home, finish up reading CNS. Get another day of rest..JUST in case…

And I’m also craving Nasi Briyani with Ayam Madu… but I’m suppose to be a vegetarian today..so tomorrowla..but chances are I’ll be craving something else tomorrow.

Love,

Lady Sha Sha

Another miserable day..:(

Yesterday was an extremely miserable day for me!

I FINALLY dragged myself to the doctor. He said I was having throat infection, gave me 2 days MC, antibiotics, antihistamines and paracetamol. I wanted to argue with him that my fever was cyclic ( around 10am) and that my mucus was changing colours from clear to yellow and back to clear. But then I was so tired I just said OK and took my meds. He said my case is mild so nothing to worry about.

You know they say when you are sick, eat porridge and eat well… you know why? because if you don’t eat well, you tummy will masuk angin and the next time you eat, you will puke! That happened to me yesterday.Since that I bertaubat to eat proper full meals before taking my meds..And I’m only returning to uni once I get better because everyone who gets infected seems to be infecting other people and I think we should stop sharing our illnesses. I know sharing is caring, but it is not applicable in this case.

I want to get well soon!!!!! I miss my friends and Uni!!! :(

Day 3 of being sick

It has been 3 days since the symptoms started to show. On day 1 I had sore throat and a cold. On day 2, no more sore throat but there was the horrible cold, and not to mention the fever which lasted for like 1 hour, but mild la…

And then today, had mild fever, milder than yesterday I would say..but the bloody nose is killing me. :(

I have been stalking http://h1n1.moh.gov.my like a true stalker. I even forced my mom to call the H1N1 hotline, and the guy said that there is nothing to be worried about, unless got fever more than 3 days. Yes, yes u can say it, I am a DRAMA QUEEN! More like Paranoid Queen but i prefer the former, sounds more glamorous. :p

I’m also trying to keep my distance with pumpkin, because i don’t want her to get infected and i think she is depressed over it. She sat next to me on the bed just now and I kept saying “ Go away, I’m sick” and she started to whine and make all those “pity me” noises. But I have to consider her health as well right? And I haven’t done my research on whether or not Influenza A can infect dogs..

Oh God! being sick is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO miserable!!!! Especially when ur friends are in Uni and u are stuck at home with a depressed and whiny dog and an internet connection. I want to get well soon and I will get well soon.

Please remind me to cough at everyone’s faces once i get back to uni. :p

Oh wait, I think my nose is clearing up!!! YAY!!!!!!

Lady Sha Sha

It is my turn..

In the past weeks my classmates have been taking turns to fall sick and I think the virus has successfully entered and infected me. But since it is only a runny nose and a sore throat which was horrible when I woke up this morning, but is getting better as I keep drowning myself with loads of water, preserved orange peel and strepsils. :)

Having a sore throat SUCKS! It is not that you are unable to carry out your normal chores, but it is that feeling you have in your throat which I just can’t stand! I just hope it goes away by tonight..:( My papa banned me from leaving the house, and told me to rest, but I wanted to go to The Curve today!!!!!! And I want to go!!!!!!! *whines and stomps feet*

Well, at least I have my CNS notes to teman me in my miserable room.

I shall self treat my sore throat and if it works I shall let all of you know because since the virus is everywhere, might as well share with u guys.

I have also noticed that I am rather absent minded these days. With all the project meetings and submission dates, I tend to forget what to send to whom and when. EEEEEEeeeeeeeeeEEEEEE!!! I’m growing OLD!!!!!!!!! And I HATE my throat and I want to amputate it out so that the feeling goes away!!!!!!!

It was cranky yesterday, but got better today…yay!

Well, when I got my bag wet, I bullied my dear friends to dry my bag for me…hehehe

Check out Vee Vee’s expression…LoL!

Vee Vee, pls don kill me….

Image027

See! They kinda volunteered to do it for me..:D

Thanks u guys!!

I now need to get back to my portfolio…. *sigh*

We Had Him

We Had Him by Maya Angelou

Beloveds,

Now we know that we know nothing
Now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind
Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace
Sing our songs among the stars and and walk our dances across the face of the moon
In the instant we learn that Michael is gone we know nothing
No clocks can tell our time and no oceans can rush our tides
With the abrupt absence of our treasure
Though we are many,
each of us is achingly alone
Piercingly alone
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him
He came to us from the Creator, trailing creativity in abundance
Despite the anguish of life, he was sheathed in mother love and family love and survived and did not more than that
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style.

We had him

Whether we knew who he was or did not know, he was our's and we were his
We had him
Beautiful, delighting our eyes
He raked his hat slant over his brow and took a pose on his toes for all of us and we laughed and stomped our feet for him
We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing
He gave us all he had been given
Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Blackstar Square, in Johannesburg, in Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama and Birmingham England, we are missing Michael Jackson
But we do know that we had him
And we are the world.

I was moved to tears when I heard this. To be honest, the flood gates opened the moment the Memorial began.

Honestly, till today, even after the memorial, Michael’s death seems so surreal to me.

I said my final Goodbye to the King of Pop this morning. God Bless his soul.

Omg! Tomorrow is week 3!

Ok, SERIOUSLY. The fact that I have already started Uni hasn’t really hit me yet. And I don’t know when it will, but I hope it will be soon. Cause I’m seriously not doing anything!

All I do is watch TV, play facebook and..that is it.

So yea, I NEED to focus. I NEED to prioritize.

I have no Idea what I got my self into

I think I was possessed by Lucifer today. Well, lets just say I did something I thought I wouldn’t do.

I signed up to join our Malaysian Studies Choir thingy, and will most probably be helping Anitha with the food for that day, and I signed up for debate. I know, totally insane!

5 years ago I said I wanted to retire from debating and prolly not do it anymore cause it’s quite, how should I say…. mentally demanding. It requires you to read widely and be able to talk in like 15 mins or something. I KNOW. What the hell did I get myself into?????!! I said I would retire!!!!

What has been done is done. I’ll just deal with it when I get to it. I should have seen this coming you know.. During the hols I did some pondering and evaluating of life ( I know that sounds deep ), and figured that till today, the most memorable times have to go to my school days. Why? Cause I was doing more stuff, stuff other than studying, and, in my point of view, I kinda did well and survived all those times. So yea, my theory was; I had fun back in day cause I was involved in stuff. And now, I feel that uni is utterly and completely boring, maybe because the only thing I do here is study.

Yea, I should have seen this coming. All I know is that, I’m sick of just studying. But I have NO IDEA how this is gonna turn out. Well, we’ll have to wait and see now don’t we?

I saw this on my way home.

And I don’t remember seeing it on my way to uni. Maybe it has been like that for some time and I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings.

If you were wondering, that is the side walk around the Bukit Jalil Stadium. And there was glass near that place. I just hope no one was seriously injured. But it looked kinda nasty to me.

Here’s another pic.

An uneventful day

Yay! Today was uneventful and it was exactly what I needed. =)

Had my very first PBL for the semester and I must say that I’m quite happy with my group, although I must say that I do miss my old group. I miss the times where everyone has something to say and everyone is trying to talk at the same time. :p

This notice below can be found out side my Uni. It made me literally stop and read the whole notice properly.

Disappointed

Things haven’t been exactly all sunshine for me lately, but I believe that things happen for a reason. I have a few thoughts on what those reasons are but choose not to disclose it here for obvious reasons.. Some thoughts should be shared with those who were meant to hear it.

Joanne should have touched down at KLIA today..hope she decides to take the 7-day self quarantine. I wish we had no swine flu to deal with so that she wouldn’t have to self-quarantine and she can come back to uni A.S.A.P and I can complain to her and I know she will do something about it but unfortunately things aren’t the way they are..Gosh..it has been three SUCKY days for me.. And it doesn’t help that I’m PMS-ing. If the coming 2 days don’t brighten up I swear I’m gonna claw someone’s eyeballs out!!!! Only if they irritate me la..But I’ll try my best to be on my “good-girl” behaviour… But no promises ya…

I honestly don’t understand why some lecturers can’t be punctual?? I mean seriously?? Class was suppose to start at 4.30pm and end at 5.30 pm..instead he/she enters at 5.10pm and drags on till 6.00pm! And this is not the first or the only lecturer who does this kind of nonsense!! Damn, they should give me the evaluation form now..I’ll write a LoOoooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooong and “nice” evaluation.

Seriously, lecturers should learn time management.. I mean, we expected the class to end according to what is stated in the time table and we kinda make plans on what to do afterwards and not being punctual or dragging the lecture too long isn’t exactly making life simpler for us.. I mean, some of us HAVE A LIFE to get to, and NO, UNI IS NOT LIFE.

Irritated!!!

I was having a bloody headache, and to make things worse, had to get stuck in a bloody jam..and now have something damn annoying to deal with!

When something comes knocking on your door, shutting the door won’t solve it. How I wish it would!

Right now all I want to do is shut the damn door at something/someone/some idea/problem and never see it again.

How unfortunate that life doesn’t work that way…

Maybe it’s time for me to wake up and GROW up…. but I don’t want to…..:(

Anyway, according to Forbes, the No.1 top paying job for women happens to be…….

*drum roll please*

PHARMACIST!!!!

Yay!! All the girls in the class are going to be rich!!!! :D

I can already feel my Jimmy Choos in my hands!!!

The King of Pop Is Dead

MJ passed away this morning. He reportedly collapsed in his LA home at around 4.00 am Malaysian time, due to a cardiac arrest. He then went into a coma and later passed away. Some of you may have been fans and some not..Never the less, you definately have heard of him.

May he be remembered for his music and not his personal life.

May he rest in peace.

The week is ending!! Yay!!

What a week!

Tomorrow is the last day of the first week! Yay!

Although it was only the first week, I’m already looking forward to the weekend..

Should I go watch Transformers on Saturday or should I go shopping?? Hmmm?? How to decide??

Anyway, I don’t know if it’s true or not but I heard that got H1N1 case in Vista. The thought of it is kinda scary. I’m planning on bringing my Dettol Hand Sanitizer tomorrow..call  me paranoid but the last thing I want is to be quarantined!I would advise those of you staying there to do the same as well.. I’m also glad that there are those alcohol hand cleaners on most of the floors..Now I can keep my hands bac free most of the time. =)

This semester has a lot of guided reading..so much of self study to do… *sighs*

Stampede in IMU

It was around 2.10pm, we were at the first floor, lounging around..and suddenly we heard

“BOOM BOOM BOOM!” coming from upstairs

We looked up the escalator and saw people practically jumping from the third floor to the second floor.. which prompted us to RUN to the 2nd floor..and 3 of us were in HIGH HEELS..

Who ever said that you can’t run in high heels, was so wrong! congrats Ai Xin and Chi Lun for making it before us.. You guys can run!

So if you weren’t in IMU at that time, I’m sorry to inform you that you missed the B107 stampede which I think shocked Mr.Adhiyaman. For those of you who caught his expression when he saw us running would know what I mean..:D

The Witch is Dead!

'Ding!Dong! The Witch is Dead!'
Omg! I just got this from E!
They are officially making E! News a Speidi FREE ZONE! Woohoo! I think it is good of them to finally help end Speidi's 15 minutes of fame!!! =D
OK, Moving on to more annoying things.. Isn't anyone else here annoyed with the fact that in this semester, the number of students for each selective is limited?!
I mean, if you are going to do that, then tell me again what's the point in calling it a selective if there is a HIGH chance that we aren't going to get our first choice?
Based on what I have heard from my friends, most of us are interested in a particular selective, and there is also a chance that some of us are going to end up in something we don't even like! And they say 'Choose according to what you like'. How are we suppose to choose according to interest when at the end of the day, if we aren't kiasu enough to claw our way there, we will be allocated to something we aren't even interested in? If this is the way the system works then I think the title of the module should not be "Selective"
I think the idea of allocating a specified number of places for it is ridiculous as all of us here PAID the same amount and I think we all deserve to do what we like not do something because "the places are full". I dunno, to me it just doesn't seem to make any sense at all.
Maybe they are doing it because certain Selectives get very poor response from the students but doesn't that say something? Something which might sound like 'We don't like this topic?'
I think that it is only fair that everyone is given equal opportunity to do what interests us the most. But I don't think we can do anything about it now.. I just can't wait for the evaluation forms for this semester to come..

Holidays!!!

Today is 22/06/09. It marks the end of my fabulous holidays as well as the start of the new semester. I know I haven’t been blogging a lot lately, but that was because I was too busy..

Where do I start?? I’ll start on last Friday. I went for my final shopping spree before Uni starts and do buy more clothes for uni at MidValley. This time around I took my Mom along with me because to me, she is a walking ATM machine. And also, when I want to buy something, she doesn’t really persuade me not to get it, in fact she encourages. =)

We were in MNG and I was trying on clothes and finally decided that I liked 2 out of the million things I tried on. Normally, if I was with a friend, we would choose only one of those 2, but when I’m with my mom, she goes, ‘Take bothla!’..=D

See what I mean?? After much shopping and shoving…(MNG were having sales, so you can imagine how packed and crazy all the women were) we decided to go for lunch, and me being the loving daughter I am, I decided to belanja my mom lunch, since she spent like over RM200 for my clothes..

We headed off the Oh!Sushi. I’m not sure if it is a Japanese restaurant or not cause it has Sushi, but they say its Korean..so I’m confused… but anyway, the food was great!!

I had this thing which I think happens to be Korea’s answer to Yee Mee..

Image002

And we also ordered this…

Image001

It looked harmless, and since I was eating with chopsticks, I happily took one of those dumpling thingys and put the whole thing in my mouth, and I was chewing it I realised they had wasabi in it..and I’m not exactly a wasabi person..so it was kinda like torture for me..=( But it was delicious! minus the wasabila..

Mom had this..

Image010

It was spicy and had loads of seafood in it…

We also had kimchi.. =) which in my point of view is Korea’s answer to pickles!! :p

Image007

The serving for each dish was kinda large and I din manage to finish my food..but I loved it! =)

Now I’m getting ready for uni..class starts at 1.30pm..I think I’ll leave the house at 12..It’s sad that I only had 5 weeks of holidays while my other friends are holidays which last for months! =(
