Reflection

I have been absent for a very long time now (4 months to be exact). I think by now, most of you would have figured out that sham only blogs when she is angry, frustrated, or stressed out.

I don't know if I've been too happy or too busy. Not very sure. But many things have taken place since I last made an entry and somethings are too soon to be mentioned here.

Picking up where I left off, I have been to Sabah and back as well as to Phuket and Krabi. How was it?
Well the Sabah trip was awesome! Its always nice to meet up with old friends and you know a real friend is someone who is still there even if you've never kept in touch as well as you ought too. Seeing old faces, reliving old memories and creating new ones were really nice. I must say that I will most definitely head back to KK to see my friend there. :)

The cruise was interesting. It was an experience. And would I go for it again? Yes. But for a different destination of course. How was it on board? It was nice, but the demographic was a bit off.. (mostly people whom are as old as your parents??)

With those 2 things scratched off my list I have a few more left. For 2013 its just Cambodia left. For 2014, its already almost full!! :) Someone is heading to the land of the leprechauns, Sarawak, Bangkok and who knows what else! :)

This year seems to be the year of weddings. So many people I know are getting hitched including my brother end of this year. :) I'll be getting a sister finally. Not that I don't know her already but the wedding is just going to make it "official". Having a sister is something new to me. Maybe because I've only had 2 brothers all my life. But its new, and Sham is learning.

All in all, I think my life is in a very perfect place right now. I'm happy with all aspects of my life, career, financial, social, family. Its all good. I don't know how long its gonna stay that way, nothing lasts forever but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Cheers!

It flows like water..

I have been spending waaaay too much lately. Some of my spendings were suppose to bring me returns in the far future while the other spendings,.. well, were just spendings. So I have decided that starting THIS MONTH, I would buy ONLY ONE EXPENSIVE item / month.

That's it.

No more shopping once I've bought this item.

So how has this affected me so far?? I went shopping yesterday and bought this ONE item for the month.. and then came home only to spend 5x more on something else. -.-" *Great* start, no?

But I guess a start is better than not starting! And to my defense, the second thing I bought was not even an item, it was a package of some sort.. hehe..

And speaking of packages, I recently got my hands on the Groupon 5D4N cruise deal! (thanks kee!! :D ) So yes, yours truly is gonna go on cruise for the first time!!! *excited* Penang - Phuket - Krabi - Penang!

Owh and also, will be paying a visit to dearest Sabah next week. DEE DEE, I AM COMING!!! WAIT FOR ME!!! :) Can't wait to get my hands on those Amplangs! (hope I spelt it right!)

Also I can feel the subtle change in my career. I can barely feel it, but I can feel it.. I think 2014/2015 might be the deciding year for which path of career to take.. I don't know, maybe it would take longer than that.. but I can sense a change coming... hmm...

The first detox

M currently in the midst of my very first detox. M taking Juvanex. This cleansing and rejuvanating sweet tasting drink from New Zealand ( I think). So far its been good. No weird vomitting / diarrhea as I imagined before. I always thought of detoxing as this painful, torturous process, but with Juvanex, its not that bad. I mean, I have a sweet tooth and this is perfect for me cause its sweet and sourish, and also, it does not impose a lot of restrictions on my current diet while I'm on it.

Basically its simple, you have your breakfast like normal, but I'm guessing if you're the "Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai" kinda a person, then you might not agree with me. I have cereal for breakfast, so I'm guessing its healthy. For the lunch and dinner part for this detox, you'll need to take it 30 mins before your meal and your meal has to be light and healthy. There is this booklet which comes with the product which gives details on what you should be eating and what not, well, you can refer to that. And most of what I usually eat is already in there, so as I said, this detox is pretty much suitable for me because I don't have to change much except for adding more fiber to my diet to aid the cleansing process. Just done with day 4, its a 7-day thingy.

Why am I suddenly detoxing my self?? Well, I had an epiphany, (like I always do.. :P) and decided to cleanse my system as I have never done that. ever. So I did some research, and by research I mean ask around the office for which is the best detox to try, blablabla, and one of my colleagues mentioned Juvanex, so I googled it up and read about it and decided to get it. Its really not that bad and I would recommend it to any newbie to detox. The booklet says that for "best results" do it once a month, but I'll stick to once every 6 months. As long as I don't stuff too many processed food down my throat, I guess I'm good! :)

By the way, has anyone watched Game of Thrones S3 yet???? Found the first episode kinda boring, but I guess its just recovering from season 2's finale. Oh, and m sooo in love with The Voice S4, and am officially hating American Idol solely because of Nicki Minaj. Seriously, I don't get her!!

Baby steps..

Lets be honest now, I have a fear for commitment.
And today, I did something random.

I committed.

Everything seems OK now. Once I did it, it felt empowering!
Now I have all I need to continue.

23/03/13 @ 3.00pm

When everything does not go as planned

When I was 16, I had it all planned out. The great 10-year-plan, where my life was headed, how it would turn out and how its gonna be.

Fast-forward 10 years to NOW. Is it anywhere near what I had planned? NO. Is it going to be? I DON'T KNOW.

Somewhere over the last 10 years, my dreams and goals in life have slightly changed. I still remember what my ultimate goal in life was. But right now, I'm thinking that I should just live in the moment and seize the unexpected. Sounds weird, unplanned and very spontaneous but something over the last couple of months has changed me in a way even I don't know. Heck, I don't really know what I want anymore. Ask me what I wanted in life 2 years ago and I would have given you a long essay. Ask me now and I'll say, " We shall see where the river flows". This of course is not going down very well with my parents ( I haven't told them about my change of plans yet) and they keep mentioning when I'm going to carry on with my "future plans" and I keep making excuses to delay them.

I'm trying not to over think this, maybe its just my quarter-life-crisis, or maybe I don't want the same things I wanted in life 10 years ago. Either way, I'll  just let things play it out and I'll decide later. I'm very happy with where I am in life right now, lets not ruin that now shall we?

Crossroads

Sometimes in life, we get a chance to do something which might change our lives for the better, but it involves  sacrificing some form of comfort. Well, to look at it in a whole, its more of a give and take situation. Its like giving up shopping so that you can save money, or something around that line.

There is where I am right now. With opportunity for change knocking at every corner, I wonder if I should remain static, or should I do it? Make a move that will change my career.

Can't decide right now. But what's for sure, I'll be deciding pretty soon. And I hope I get something good from it.

Hoping that my mini ramblings will solve my crossroad issue, lets move on to something I am more than happy to share with everyone,my Cambodia trip! :) I've already booked my hotel, now am just waiting to see the right price for the air ticket to purchase it. Am feeling very happy about my Siam Reap trip. Have been wanting to see the Angkor Wat and the killing fields and I hope that I get to do that on my trip.

First Saturday of February

The second month of 2013 is here. Spent the day with my bff since kindergarten (no, m not kidding, we've been friends since that long), haven't met her since we came back from Sydney. Spent a good time catching up and planning our next trip ( Hint: Cruise! :D ) We decided to head to Sunway Pyramid where we attacked every possible store doing some last minute CNY shopping.

Watched Hansel and Gretel and let me tell you now, DON'T WATCH THAT MOVIE. Unless you have nothing else better to watch and you want to see some blood and pass time. Seriously was a waste of time. Should have just went for skating instead!

We were deciding which places we should visit and here's the list:

1. Canada (Niagara Falls)
2. Beijing ( The Great Wall)
3. Kathmandu
4. Cambodia
5. Phuket & Krabi
6. Germany

Lets see how much we can accomplish in the coming years.
